It’s been six months since my beloved Kitt crossed the rainbow bridge on April 11, 2025. Half a year without her soft paws padding behind me, her gentle purrs, and that quiet companionship only a cat can give.
Grief has a strange rhythm. Some days, I smile at memories — her funny little habits, the way she’d curl up in the sun as if she owned the light itself. Other days, I still catch myself looking for her. Grief doesn’t fade, it just softens its edges.
What I’ve learned in these six months is that love doesn’t end when life does. It shifts form — from fur to memory, from presence to energy. She’s still with me, just in a different way.
If you’ve ever lost a pet, know this: your grief is real, your love is valid, and your heart will learn how to hold both the pain and the gratitude. ❤️
