There’s something about September that feels like a quiet beginning. The air shifts ever so slightly, the days shorten, and the first leaves start to tumble. While January is loud with resolutions, September whispers gentle encouragements: reset, refocus, and realign
I always think of autumn as a season of contrasts. It’s cosy and inward-looking, but it’s also crisp with possibility. The school year may be behind us, but that “back-to-school” feeling never really leaves. It’s a natural moment to take stock — what’s working, what isn’t, and where we want to direct our energy before the year ends.
This September, I’m leaning into little rituals. Lighting a candle in the evening. Planning meals that feel hearty but nourishing. Swapping iced chocolate drinks for spiced teas. And yes, eyeing up those jumpers at the back of my wardrobe.
But beyond the surface comforts, autumn invites us to let go — just like the trees. Old habits, old worries, old clutter (emotional and physical). There’s freedom in releasing what we don’t need anymore.
So, as September begins, I’m asking: How do I want the rest of the year to feel? And I’m encouraging you to ask the same.
Here’s to a season of slowing down, feeling grounded, and welcoming the beauty of change.
